It’s a theme.
Over Memorial Day Weekend, we decided that the best way to keep Nolan from peeing in the middle of camp was to designate a pee spot. On this trip, that spot was the “pee rock.”
In July, we headed to Magone Lake (just outside of John Day) for another camping adventure. This time, there was no rock to be found. Luckily, there was a tree with some type of critter hole that served nicely as the pee spot. This became the “pee tree.”
Last weekend, we headed to Joseph with our friends, also known as Uncle Donald and Aunt Katherine. While there, we decided to take the tram to the top of the mountains as none of us had ever done that before. There are a TON of squirrels up there, but these are squirrels of the ground variety, which meant that there were TONS of squirrel holes. So, when Nolan felt the need to relieve himself at the top of the mountain, he was sure to find the perfect spot – a squirrel hole. I believe he may have had some prompting from his dad and Uncle Donald on this one though. And of course, Nolan was happy to tell everyone that he “peed squirrel”. Yes monkey, you peed on the squirrel – well, sort of.
