Ok, so it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything new – sorry. We’ve been going mach 9 for a couple weeks now, and truth be told, it’s showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. If it weren’t for the lovely snow flurries we had today, I’d say summer was finally on its way by the looks of our calendar.
The weekend before last, Brandon had the great idea that we go camping down on the river for a night and do some catfishing. Since it happened to be the weekend before our anniversary, I’m saying it was our anniversary outting. It was a great weekend! The weather wasn’t so hot, but it was a fun and relaxing weekend, rain be darned.
Saturday morning, we got up when we felt like it (which was still before 6:30) and headed to the Snake River – dogs, camper, and all. Although the rain came early, we had fun – spent the first part of the day fishing and exploring in a light rain.
We weren’t quite prepared for all the rain, so Nolan sported a make-shift poncho over his winter coat to try to keep the wet out.
Nolan was even able to use his very own fishing pole. Caught his own fish and everything.
Even though it was only 40 degrees outside, and raining most of the day, Nolan decided that he really wanted to play in the water. After chasing him around for hours, we gave in. We figured after he realized how cold it was, he’d stay away. We were wrong, very wrong.
Nolan had quite the weekend following Daddy around. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he’s definitely a man’s man (or boy in this case).
Nolan wasn’t entirely sure what to think about the catfish, especially when it started to “bark” at him. I do love that crinkle-face he makes.
