This weekend we headed to Bend for a Briels/Browns reunion. This was the first time in 4 years that all 6 of the Brown siblings have been able to get together (both parents have passed away), and growning up so closely with the Briels’, it was only appropriate to make it a mini-reunion for the two families. There was plenty of good food, laughs, and memories shared – not to mention kids running all over the place. All in all, it was a great trip. We were even able to stop by and visit with some other friends in Bend that we hadn’t seen in a while, and of course their newest little one who was born 3 weeks before Nolan and we hadn’t met yet.
Here are all of the guys gathered before they headed out for a day of paintballing. They returned worn out and bruised – a good day.
There were a couple handfuls of kids running around. Here’s Nolan with the younger bunch (the older bunch was a bit too old for him to play with, all 7 years and up). He wasn’t quite sure what to do with the other kids – they were between 7 and 9 months and weren’t as active as the kids he’s use to playing with. He spent most of the time looking at them, waiting for them to do something, and occasionally stealing a binky (which is odd because he doesn’t even like binkies).
This photo just made me laugh. I’m a bit fearful though, he seems to like the girl hanging on him a bit too much for my liking.
And there was the cutest bunny that Kylee (my niece) could not get enough of. I don’t blame her, she was the cutest little bunny I’ve seen! Here’s Kylee and Nolan playing with Jasmine the bunny.
So, that was our weekend. How was yours?
