Where, oh where, has our summer gone….
Where, oh where, could it be?!
That’s right folks, it’s officially August – not sure where the summer went, but I know it’s almost gone.
I’ve been a bit MIA on the whole blog scene lately – busy, busy beavers we have been. Between camping trips, out of town trips, work, weddings, and the usual, we haven’t spent much time at home lately. Here are a few of the highlights from our last couple weeks…
- Brandon made it to the annual all-guys fishing trip at Three Forks again this year, and as always, had a blast. This year he was healthy as can be (no walking pnemonia like last year) and I promised not to have any big surprises for him when he returned (last year was when we found out about our wonderful surpise, now known as Nolan – I found out just before he left and shared the news with him after he returned).
- Nolan experienced his first Chief Joseph Days. He loved the rodeo and took it all in – he couldn’t take his eyes off of all the going-ons. I realized that next year, he’ll be running around (literally) at CJ Days – we will definitely be in for it then, I forsee us keeping very busy trying to keep him from crawling through the ropes and into the arena. Aunt Amanda is already planning the little cowboy outfits she’ll be dressing him up in.
- Made some more progress on the house – my husband is wonderful! The hole in our soon-to-be dining room (by hole, I mean no flooring clear down to the crawlspace) was enlarged to a 4 foot by 10 foot chunk, then lowered, re-supported, and is not just waiting for subfloor (to be done by the end of the weekend). We’re getting there, slowly, but we’re getting there none-the-less.
- Nolan now has a new favorite toy – this little bouncer/play station thing-a-ma-jig. He’s pretty excited about it, as are we. He’s also a very lucky boy and has inherited a tote full of very fun toys from our friend Quinn – he’ll be playing with that train in no time!
Here are some random photos from the last bit…
